- Adele is a well known artist known for her unique songwriting skills coinciding with her amazing and talented voice.
- She began her fame journey by attending the Brit School in Croydon for her teen life. Adele then graduated from the school in 2006 and due to a friend posting her song demo onto MySpace she was immediately given a recording contract with company XL Recordings.
XL Recordings is an English independent company record label which began in 1989 by Richard Russell. They have created famous artists such as Radiohead, Dizzee Rascal and Alicia Keys. The label is well known as it operates globally and releases albums worldwide. It also represents a wide range of genres from pop to heavy metal. - The first song Adele contributed to was guest vocals on the song "My Yvonne" for Jack Peñate's debut studio album Matinée (2007).
- In 2007, Adele received the Brit Award for 'Critics Choice' and then went on to win the BBC sound for 2008.
- To commerate her success the debut album '19' was released in 2008 and was such a hit that it certified seven ties platinum in the UK and twice in USA making herself known internationally.
- At the 51st Grammy Awards in 2009, Adele received the awards for Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
- From then on adele has been creating Albums reaching records for the success they have built for her. She is now known as one of the best female artists on the planet and one of the best selling recording artists in the world.
Genre
Adele's music fits into the genres of soul and pop ballads. Adele calls it 'Heartbroken Soul' however crosses various different boundaries depending on the song.
For Example, the song 'Cold Shoulder' could be classified as hip-hop which shows how versatile is as she is willing to experiment with different genres to keep her audience and fans engaged.
One of Adele's most famous and recent songs is Hello which has reached an astonishing 1,737,424,678 views on Youtube.
